There’s an old Spanish proverb that says, “The belly rules the mind.”
That’s surely the case for me and probably the best way to explain why I’m joining you on this blog adventure. Nothing compels me more than food. The better the food, the more I’m compelled. I’m a simple girl really. So I’m thrilled that my love of quality food has brought me to Cream and that the great food at Cream has compelled me to blog.
Here’s my ‘meet cute’ with Cream at Sassafras.
One (not-so-eventful) day I ventured up into the hills of the Dandenong Mountains. Looking for nothing in particular, I walked up and down the streets of Sassafras, window shopping, mainly, and out of the corner of my eye, I caught this sign.
Well, it had me at ‘gourmet’. I felt my heartbeat pick up a bit when I stepped inside and we “got to know each other”. I hinted a bit about my love of cooking as I tasted nearly everything in the store while Cream showed off its plenitude of the best culinary ingredients around.
I showed restraint in only buying one precious jar of Cunliffe & Waters Summerberry Jam (about which you’re likely to read loads more in the future) and we parted ways but I knew something special had happened. And as the saying goes….the rest is history.
I’m Laura, the unofficial Cream groupie, and you’ll hear from me frequently through the blog. I’ll be joined by the Cream blog team and together we’ll be sharing with you adventures from the Cream perspective.
